I have always been a proponent of strong visuals to support marketing communications and public relations campaigns. On the Internet, powerful graphics are essential to grab visitors' attention and engage them. Joe Chernov, VP of Content for HubSpot and Robin Richards, of RIPETUNGI have nailed this with a stunning graffic that invites you to keep scrolling and leaves you with the powerful impression that we must stop finning, protect sharks, get involved and help raise awareness by sharing the graphic with others. And how can we resist?

Although Joe Chernov blogged and Robin Richards shared the graphic in March 2013, the story and the infographic are still getting propelled through social media sharing today. Check out Dominique Mosbergen's article in Huffington Post for more of the details and background on the project but don't miss the graphic below. Be sure to keep scrolling for the full experience. According to the RIPETUNGI site, "While the shark is the ocean’s apex predator and the most feared animal on the planet, in the time it takes to scroll to the bottom of this graphic 73 more sharks would have been killed."

Well done, Joe Chernov and Robin Richards!

Nice, succinct and informative - especially with regard to creating unique backgrounds and typography. Very helpful when trying to standout from boring visuals we mostly see today.
Re: Are B2B Companies Afraid of Social Media?
Having been in sales the majority of my career, I believe relationships will always be an integral part of successful sales. The companies that successfully use new technologies, whether they are B2B or B2C, will be the companies who remember to keep the "H" (human) factor in their sales strategies.
